Eric DeWees

Managing Partner

EXPERIENCE

Eric DeWees is the Managing Principal of DW Real Estate Partners. He has over 15 years of commercial real estate experience spanning asset classes, geographies, and transaction types. Throughout his career, Mr. DeWees has conducted over $1.5 billion of real estate transactions.

Prior to founding DW Real Estate Partners, Eric was the Senior Director of Acquisitions at Intersection, a San Diego-based vertically-integrated real estate firm. While at Intersection, Eric sourced, structured, and capitalized over $140 million of acquisitions and dispositions while overseeing day-to-day operations of the investment management team, managing the divisional P&L, and driving the leasing and asset management of all portfolio assets. Prior to Intersection, Eric was a Director of Investments at Karlov Street Capital, a Chicago-based asset management firm with over $220 million of AUM. Prior to Karlov Street, while in graduate school, Eric worked in London with Hines, one of the largest privately held real estate investors, managers and developers in the world with over $144 billion of AUM globally. Prior to Hines, Eric was a key member of the transactions team at Harrison Street, a leading global alternative asset manager with over $56 billion of AUM. In that role, he led over $1.3 billion of acquisition, redevelopment, and ground-up development transactions across asset classes and U.S geographies. Eric began his career in investment banking at KeyBanc Capital Markets, working in the firm’s real estate and infrastructure group.
